Brevard SA (BSA) operates a Recreational Soccer program, which is referred to as our Community-Based Soccer program, during the Fall and Spring seasons. The Fall season matches typically begin the weekend after Labor Day, with team practices beginning towards the end of August. The Spring season matches typically begin in the middle of March, with team practices beginning in late February. BSA Community-Based soccer teams participate in the Brevard Youth Soccer League (BYSL). Players aged 11 (U11) to 18 (U18) of all skill levels are invited to participate in the BSA Community-Based program.
BSA operates the Community-Based Program at three locations: Max Rodes Park, Fred Poppe Park (aka Palm Bay Regional Park), and Flutie Athletic Complex. Players have the opportunity to register to participate at any of the three locations, and will be assigned to a team specific to a location. All practices and home matches will be at the location associated with the team. The purpose of the BSA Community-Based program is to provide players with an opportunity to enjoy and develop a love for the game of soccer, develop friendships on the field that carry-over off the field, and develop an understanding of teamwork and dedication. All this while getting some exercise.
